Step - by - step Instructional Video - paint along and learn

Course Summary

This demo teaches a loose, "non-commital" approach. Learn to start a painting with thinned, watered down paint which offers easy ways to adjust and refine shapes and accuracy as the painting progresses. Once the basic shapes are placed, finish up with more textural, thick brushstrokes.

Learn a simple approach for painting a bouquet of flowers, starting out with thinned-down translucent colors and generic color blocks. This video offers a narrated painting video demonstration that explains the step by step process.

• Learn how using larger brushes helps you paint faster and with less fussing
• See how fewer strokes leads to bolder brushwork
• Watch every color as it is mixed in real time
• Narrated explanations throughout
• Direct overhead view shows step by step process
• Photo reference included - paint along as you learn
•  Additional copyright free floral photos included
•  Video duration is 1 hour

Learning to paint is easier when you can clearly see the entire the start to finish painting process.

Here's what others have to say...

"I learned so much!"
Thanks Patti - I love watching the entire painting from rough sketch to beautiful finish! I've never seen a method like yours - really interesting. Love your work! - Nina B.

"Beats the heck out of watching an in-person demo"
So many times I have sat behind an instructor doing a demo, and could not see a thing. This is the best viewpoint to see every color mixture, every stroke, and hear the reasoning for the decisions made. GREAT!  - Donna R.

"Finally, I think I get how use a bigger brush"
As much as I love books, there is nothing like actually watching a painting be created close up. I've never understood how a big brush "works". Best of all, I don't have to ask "how did you mix that color?"     - Deb M.

Jodie Caponelli

I recommend this demo. It's easy to understand, and quite well explained I thought. I'm somewhat new to painting and I'm trying to develop new skills and techniques. This definitely helped me see a different approach no one else ever showed me. Thank you!
